He vowed he "had to do everything to protect his family" in his explosive Netflix documentary, and now Prince Harry's ex has exclusively told new she thinks he was right to quit the UK.
Catherine Ommanney, who claims she dated the prince after meeting him on a night out in London in 2006, spoke to us just days before the eagerly awaited Harry & Meghan series dropped.
Speaking from her home on the Spanish island of Majorca, Catherine told us, "Meghan and Harry look very happy together and I wish them all the best. I am so proud that Harry had the courage to move to the States and I think he really needed to do that to finally be free." She then jokingly added, "I have nothing but respect for Meghan, and the fact that Harry is with her shows that he does have more than one type after all - he is clearly not only interested in blondes!" Harry and Meghan's much anticipated six-part documentary gives fans an insight into their relationship, from the clandestine early days up until their shock decision to step back from the royal family and start a new life in the States.
The doc, made by two-time Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning director Liz Garbus, also promises to look at "the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family's relationship with the press".
Its makers say, "The series does more than illuminate one couple's love story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other."
In a trailer, Harry, 38, revealed he decided to make the film - which has reportedly caused some upset with his family because, "No one sees what's happening behind closed doors."
