When the person who had been stalking her went to jail in November 2021, former EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook breathed a huge sigh of relief.
In an exclusive interview with new, the star tells us that she fears she is being stalked again after a string of messages and requests have landed in her inbox recently.
“It’s a nightmare – I’m worried I won’t be able to leave the house again,” she tells us. “It brings back memories from the time before – it’s really horrible. I’m angry that it’s happening. I’m feeling worried, panicked and I’m second-guessing everything. It’s really affecting me.”
Danniella was first harassed online in 2016 and she claims it went on for four years. Danniella’s original stalker, from Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, pleaded guilty to three counts of stalking that included other people. She was handed a three-year prison sentence at Nottingham Crown Court in November 2021.
Before her stalker was found guilty, the actress was being sent hundreds of messages a day and had received around 400 fake friend requests. She tells us the experience left her mental and physical health in tatters.
Now the 49-year-old claims she is receiving multiple messages a day and is understandably worried that she is being stalked once more.
