Lawrence Robb has only been in Emmerdale since 2020, but he’s already had more than his fair share of on-screen drama. The 31-year-old plays bad boy Mackenzie Boyd, who arrived in the village looking for his long-lost sister, Moira.
But the siblings’ efforts to bond again have been put on the back burner thanks to Mack’s wayward love life. Just weeks after tying the knot with Charity Dingle at an A-Team-themed wedding, he was exposed as a cheat when he was named as the father of Chloe’s baby boy.
Now, Mack is trying to move on from his wife with the mother of his child. And this week Chloe asks him to make a choice between her and Charity.
But Lawrence tells us that Mackenzie shouldn't be jumping into another serious relationship so soon. Mack's still in love with Charity,” he says. They just got married. think he does have feelings for Chloe, but they aren't as developed or as strong as they are for Charity.
“| think he likes the family dynamic, though. Mackenzie enjoys the idea that he and Chloe have got this common denominator and someone they need to take care of he likes that. And somehow that has diffused into some feelings for Chloe.”
Viewers suspected it would only be a matter of time before Charity discovered that Mackenzie was baby Reuben’s father. The penny dropped in heartbreaking scenes when she saw Mack at the sickly tot’s hospital bedside.
Lawrence says he was looking forward to his character's secret being exposed, but had no idea how it was going to be done.
