When Dana Rosewell walks hand-in-hand down the street with her husband Brandon Wade, they say people often whisper and stare.
Cynics may presume they can't be a genuine couple, especially when Dana, 23, reveals she met multimillionaire Brandon, 54, on a dating website, which he himself set up to help younger women and rich men meet each other. But the pair, who married in June 2022 after two years together, are not fazed by what anyone thinks and say they are very much in love and are keen to have children.
"Brandon can often be mistaken for my dad," says Dana. "It happens at airport security a lot - and it actually happened today when we went to a bar that was for over-21s.
They said to Brandon, 'How old is she?' as if he's my dad. It's like the walk of shame!" Dana, from Florida, was an economics student when she signed up for Brandon's dating website. She had heard about it through friends who had tried it and she was intrigued.
Brandon, who is originally from Singapore, had set up Seeking.com (initially called Seeking Arrangement) in 2006 to connect younger women with rich, older men. The tech boss, who has been married three times previously, admits he was motivated by his own desire to find love, saying, "I launched the website really to solve my issues and I was looking for a solution to dating.
My mum always said I should focus on school and be successful and then the women would come when I was able to be generous. I used this advice to implement the site and it was successful."
Dana insists her reasons for signing up weren't financial. "When I joined the site, I really did not have money in mind," she says.
"Both my parents were well-off, so we had a perfectly steady income. I was never lacking money. I was super-focused on education and when I first met Brandon I was planning to go to law school. I wanted to meet someone who matched my aspirations in life.
