The Rooneys take a 'second honeymoon'

It’s no secret that the past few years have been challenging for Coleen and Wayne Rooney, but their holiday to Dubai has brought them closer than ever.

Since 2019, the couple have been faced with many battles – including Coleen’s high-profile Wagatha Christie case against fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy and Wayne’s sacking last month as manager of Championship club Birmingham City.

But with all that firmly in the past, the pair – who have been married since 2008 – finally have more time to spend with one another and, according to a source, used their holiday to the United Arab Emirates as a “second honeymoon”.

“Coleen and Wayne are finally spending some quality time together – it’s like a second honeymoon,” the source said. “They’ve been through so much over the past few years with the Wagatha trial, which took over Coleen’s life, night and day. They were dealing with getting all the evidence and their ducks in a row. It really took over everything.

“We saw in the documentary [Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story] the toll it took, but also that Wayne was really there for her emotionally and was by her side every day in court.”
