The Voice Kids' Pixie Lott on the show's return, her rivalry with Danny Jones, and the McFly star's performance at her wedding

The Voice Kids has so far crowned six talented tweens as its warbling winners since premiering on ITV in 2017 - four of whom were coached to victory by pop star Pixie Lott.

However, the reigning champ isn't taking her success for granted ahead of series seven.

"I've been very lucky with how the show has gone in previous years," she says. "In my head, I was like, 'Don't rest on your laurels, don't just take it easy, because the other coaches are going to swoop in!'" 

The Mama Do singer, 32, is returning to her big red chair this weekend, hoping to swivel around for the next big talented teenybopper. Once again, she'll need to beat fellow coaches will.i.am and Ronan Keating - but Pixie already knows she'll be clashing the most with McFly's Danny Jones.

"If there are just two coaches that turn [for a contestant], it will be me and Danny. Maybe we cross over on taste a little, with what we turn for," she says. "You never know which way it's going to go."

While Pixie has the most wins under her belt, Danny managed to triumph in 2019 with 13-year-old winner Sam Wilkinson - and he wasn't shy when it came to reminding his co-stars of that.

"The next year, he came out in a cape and a crown. He really did take that role seriously! He loves to lap it up, but it's funny."

Despite their competitiveness, the coaches are "great friends" outside of the show, with Danny even singing at Pixie's wedding to model Oliver Cheshire last year.

"I saw Danny and his family recently at his sister's wedding," she adds. "I sang at her wedding, and Danny sang at my wedding!"
