DEFINITELY NOT MAYBE: LIAM AND NOEL REUNITED FOR OASIS TOUR

Kids of the 90s went into overdrive when Britpop kings Oasis announced they were getting back together.

The heavily teased announcement A came on 27 August, almost exactly 15 years to the day since an incident involving Liam Gallagher wielding a guitar "like an axe" in the direction of his brother Noel landed the final nail in the Oasis coffin.

But as we wait with baited breath to see if the band actually makes it to the stage, OK! asks the question on everybody's lips - could history repeat itself? "I don't think they would get this far only to not go through with it," says Katerina Georgiou, a psychotherapist and co-founder and host of the Sound Affects Podcast: Music & Mental Health.

"It doesn't mean they won't fall out or argue, but I doubt there will be a repeat of gigs not going ahead. Although after they've done the gigs, that's another matter." Just moments before they were due to go on stage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris on 28 August 2009, Liam, now 51, and Noel, 57, got into a bitter argument and a statement from the older sibling was released shortly after.

"It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight," Noel wrote. "People will write and say what they like but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."

His words remained true for the next 15 years but as of last week, Oasis are back.

"The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised," they said last week, confirming the Oasis Live '25 tour.

It was the news music fans around the world had been waiting for. However, it was highly unexpected given all that's happened since that dramatic but not wholly out-ofcharacter (even for siblings, let alone rock-star siblings) argument 15 years ago.

While some bands mask disharmony to protect their public image, it was always front and centre for Oasis from the start.
