The Prince of Wales was in knockout form as he tried his hand at boxing while visiting a sports charity last week.
William and wife Kate joined an event at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London staged by Coach Core, which was founded by their Royal Foundation and is celebrating its 10th anniversary. And while meeting youngsters the project has helped at the Copper Box Arena, they got stuck in with some taster sessions.
William, who was wearing a blue suit, gloved up to work a punch bag under the watchful eyes of amateur boxers Gabrielle Reid and Joshua Jones.
Gabrielle, 18, said, “He picked it up very fast and he said he had boxed before. I didn’t have to teach him much.” And Joshua, 21, added, “He enjoyed it. He said he’d done a bit a before but had a little knuckle injury, so he wouldn’t be taking it up any time soon.”
Meanwhile, Kate, who wore a vintage Chanel blazer from the 1990s in blue with black detailing, had some fun trying out wheelchair bowling.
