Reality star Chloe Sims reveals how moving to LA has helped her to become happier, healthier and more confident in her own skin

Chloe Sims’ evolution from TOWIE star to Los Angeles socialite is complete, and as she opens up to OK! about dating, motherhood and her famous family, it’s obvious she couldn’t be happier about it.

The 42-year-old reality legend – Chloe was the longest-serving cast member of the ITVBe show until she left in 2021 – has spent the last 18 months on the California coast and says the time away from Essex has changed her mentally, physically and emotionally.

Gone are the days of punishing herself at the gym and spending hours preening herself in search of “perfection”. In fact, she says, there’s very little left of that version of herself, and she’s much happier for it.

“It sounds really weird because I haven’t really spoken about this, but I’ve realised that Chloe from TOWIE doesn’t exist any more,” she says. “When I first went to LA, it was very rare for me to be recognised. I would joke to my brother Charlie that I could work in Trader Joe’s and nobody would notice.

“I realised I could just be anyone I wanted, and that took away a lot of the pressure of perfection about how I looked and how I dressed, about everything. I didn’t have to play that part any more.

“I started to take in my surroundings, I started to relax. The whole idea of ‘perfection’ that I had in my head, when I would do the absolute most and drive myself mad, started to melt away and I started concentrating on the things that I actually enjoy.

“I don’t look down on who I was, and I’ll always be grateful to TOWIE, but I’m just not that person any more,” she adds. “I’m more mature, more chilled out and I feel happier to be honest.”

We’re catching up with Chloe while she’s back here in the UK during a break from filming her reality TV show House Of Sims.
