Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes only had eyes for each other as they hit up an L.A. comedy club together on May 3. The pair — who were caught kissing at the Coachella music festival in mid-April, 18 months after calling it quits — held hands and packed on the PDA as they made their way into Hollywood Improv and later dashed off to the Sunset Tower hotel.
According to sources, the former couple have been inseparable since reconnecting at Coachella. “When they got together, all of those old feelings came flooding back, and they’ve been hanging out nonstop ever since,” says one source. Cabello, 26, and Mendes, 24, were in a relationship for more than two years after their longtime friendship turned romantic in July 2019; they announced they were breaking up in November 2021. Now the singers are picking up where they left off. Notes the source: “Shawn and Camila have been telling people how grateful and happy they are to have each other in their lives again.”
DRAWN TOGETHER
Their split had been an amicable one. “Shawn and Camila both felt kind of restless and ready for a change when they went their separate ways,” says the source. “There was no bitterness or drama; they just needed space and to experience new things on their own.” Adds a second source: “They never stopped caring for each other.” A third source says their demanding schedules had contributed to the breakup. “They were both so busy that it was hard to make it work,” says the source. “They just grew apart.”
