Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence stars in a raunchy sex comedy (!) as an Uber driver in dire need of cash for a new car. She arranges to get it by making a pact with the parents of a shy and way-inexperienced 19-year-old boy (Andrew Barth Feldman) to teach him all about the birds and the bees and the bedroom. (In theaters June 23)
Blue Beetle
DC’s latest superhero is Jaime Reyes (Cobra Kai’s Xolo Maridueña), a recent college grad whose life becomes upended when an ancient alien biotech relic attaches itself to his face and turns him into the powerful Blue Beetle. Susan Sarandon plays the villain who wants to be her own Beetle. Just go with it. (In theaters Aug. 18)
Barbie
Come on, Barbie, let’s go party! Director and co-screenwriter Greta Gerwig puts a modern spin on the seemingly perfect doll: Her Barbie (Margot Robbie) and favorite accessory, Ken (Ryan Gosling), plunge into a world in which everyone comes in an array of shapes, sizes and colors. (In theaters July 21)
