ANNE HECHE 1969-2022 HER SAD FINAL DAYS

Six days after Anne Heche was critically injured after crashing her car into a house in Los Angeles, she passed away from her injuries. "Today we lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend," a rep for the actress confirmed on August 12, adding although she had been declared brain dead, her body was kept on life support so her organs could be donated. "Her bravery for always standing in her truth, spreading her message of love and acceptance, will continue to have a lasting impact."

Heche is survived by son Homer, 20, from her marriage to Coley Laffoon, and son Atlas, 13, from her 10-year relationship with Men in Trees co-star, James Tupper. "After six days of almost unbelievable emotional swings, I am left with a deep, wordless sadness," Homer said in a statement. "Hopefully, my mom is free from pain and beginning to explore what I like to imagine as her eternal freedom."
