Her week started with a standing ovation and ended with her “whole life” burning to the ground. On March 15, at 3.57am, emergency services were called to a blaze at Cara Delevingne’s $10 million Los Angeles home.

Two hours and 94 firefighters later, the entire property succumbed to the flames, which her mother, Pandora, and father, Charles, said was the result of an electrical issue caused by “very windy” conditions. Pandora confirmed the news to TMZ, telling reporters the 31-year-old model was devastated.

“She had everything in her house. Her whole life,” Pandora continued, as she and Charles waited outside London’s Playhouse Theatre where their youngest daughter was performing in Cabaret.

“My heart is broken today … I cannot believe it. Life can change in a blink of an eye. So cherish what you have,” Delevingne shared via Instagram, before confirming some good news – her beloved cats had been saved.

The event is a huge blow for the British star, who had just made her West End debut as Cabaret’s Sally Bowles.
