THE AUSSIE ACTRESS IS ON A MISSION TO EXPOSE THE PREDATORS TARGETING OUR MOST VULNERABLE
'Justice will be served'

Actress Madeleine West knows the subject matter of her podcast, Predatory, is uncomfortable for some. For her though, it’s personal. The 42-year-old revealed earlier this year that she was a victim of childhood sexual abuse, preyed on by a “monster” when she was just a young girl. “This thing happened that cataclysmically impacted my life, but it doesn’t define me,” she tells WHO. “And if I can say those words, I can say, ‘I’m not to blame. This was not my fault, it was never my fault.’ And if that gives other victims the strength to come forward and stand up, then these bastards are going to get caught.”

Joining forces with former NSW homicide detective Gary Jubelin, the star is on a mission to expose predators and educate parents on how to keep their kids safe. “If we stay silent on it, we refuse to tackle these uncomfortable conversations and seek education – if we don’t remove the stigma, then we can’t tackle the problem,” the mum of six explains.

How did the idea for Predatory come about?
