LONG RECOVERY A HEAD

Angelina Jolie must be relieved to be bringing her son Pax Jolie-Pitt home after an e-bike accident saw him rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, but there's still a long way to go before they can put the whole experience behind them.

"Pax has been released from the ICU," a source confirmed to People in the days following his admission. "He suffered complex trauma, and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy."

The 20-year-old was reportedly riding his electric bike without a helmet in heavy traffic on July 29 when he rammed into a car that was stopped at an intersection on Los Feliz Boulevard around 5pm.

According to one of those first on the scene, Pax was unconscious and bleeding from the head. As he came to and tried to speak, witness Lola Cavalli told Entertainment Tonight that Pax's "mouth was filled with blood".

Jolie, 49, who kept a constant vigil by her son's side as he recovered is "deeply grateful for the quick and life-saving action of first responders, and the outstanding medical care he received", the source told the magazine.
