SOPHIE TURNER 'I was so young

There were plenty of dark days for British actress Sophie Turner as her marriage to Joe Jonas imploded in September 2023 but some were worse than others. Speaking for the first time about her split, the 28-year-old has revealed the “mum-shaming” and narrative that she was a party girl who was neglecting her maternal responsibilities “were the worst few days of my life”.

“All these articles started coming out,” she explained to British Vogue. “It hurt because I really do completely torture myself over every move I make as a mother – mum guilt is so real! I just kept having to say to myself, ‘None of this is true. You are a good mum and you’ve never been a partier.’”

Sharing her perspective, the actress, explained she was filming Joan, a six-part drama about Britain’s most notorious jewel thief Joan Hannington, when Jonas filed for divorce. While she was photographed enjoying herself at the wrap party for the series, Jonas, 34, was pictured looking after their two daughters Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1, in the US.

“I was contracted to be on set for another two weeks, so I couldn’t leave,” she told British Vogue. “My kids were in the States and I couldn’t get to them because I had to finish Joan.”
