TOP OF HER GAME

Judging by her on-screen exploits, it’s easy to assume that Julianne Moore is addicted to drama. During her four-decade-long career, the actress has played everything from the leader of a rebellion against the Capitol in The Hunger Games film series to a rockstar who is also a neglectful mother in What Maisie Knew. But she insists it couldn’t be further away from who she is in real life.

“Chaos,” is how the 63-yearold star describes the roles that she picks in an interview with the British newspaper The Telegraph. “But that’s the Flaubert quote, isn’t it? ‘Be regular and orderly in your life, so that you may be violent and original in your work.’”

For years, Moore has been incredibly selective in the acting work that she takes on, limiting herself to filming within just a small radius of her home in New York City, where she and husband Bart Freundlich raised their two children, son Caleb, 26, and daughter Liv, who turns 22 on April 11.
