Rumpy's Valentine
Champak|February First 2023
Little Rumpy rabbit was waiting outside for his mother to take him to school early in the morning. His mother, Roro, carried his school bag and left him at school every day. After that, she returned home and finished her work.

Rumpy's Valentine

Rumpy often said, "Mummy, I have grown up now. I can go to school with my friends. Why do you bother to come so far to drop me off?"

"I am worried about you, my son. There are many mean animals in the forest who watch out for kids who are on their own and attack them. That is why I accompany you to school."

"You love me a lot, Mummy; that is why you worry about me so much."

"You love me, too," Roro said lovingly and caressed his head.

They talked a lot on their way to and from school. Roro worked hard, day and night, taking care of her house and sending Rumpy to a good school to study. In the afternoon, she'd reach the school at a fixed time to pick him up. She'd carry his school bag again, and they happily went home.

It was February 14. As usual, Rumpy reached school and went to the assembly hall with his friends. Their class teacher, Vivi wolf, was very smart and beautiful but a little strict.

Kids were scared to talk with her, but she taught very nicely and was everyone's favourite teacher.

The kids returned to their classroom and then Vivi Ma'am marked their attendance.

A beautiful red rose was kept on the teacher's table. Vivi was surprised to see it. She knew it was Valentine's Day, but this kind of thing was unexpected for such young kids. She looked thoughtfully at the rose and asked the class, "Who put the flower here?"

All the kids remained silent. In a stern voice, Ma'am asked Gogo rabbit, the class monitor, "Tell me who it was?"

"Ma'am, I don't know. I took the class to the assembly hall. After that, I do not know who entered the room."

The kids were afraid to say anything as no one knew how Vivi Ma'am would react.
