Once, Sammy was getting ready to go to the city. He removed his old bicycle and wiped the dust off it. He filled a bucket with water and then began cleaning it with a wet cloth.
"What are you doing, Sammy? Do you want to spoil your bike?" Sammy's friend Charlie Cheetah asked.
"Can't you see? I'm cleaning my bicycle. I have to go to the city," Sammy replied.
Charlie said, "I don't think this bike will survive that ride."
Sammy asked, surprised, "What do you mean?"
"If you scrub it so much and then wash it in cold water, won't it catch a cold? It might also catch a fever and be sick," Charlie said cleverly.
"You're right. I didn't think of that at all.
If the bicycle falls ill, I won't be able to go to the city as well. What should I do now?" Sammy asked.
Trying hard not to laugh, Charlie said, "It is simple. Instead of cold water, wash it in hot water. That way, it won't catch a cold, and you can also go to the city."
