Yes, it's a brand new series of monthly masterclasses, this time revealing all you need to know about our very own, freshly updated, suite of plugins. The CM Suite comes free with the magazine every month, and this new series of workshops will highlight the best plugins in the suite and show you how a little knowledge of them can be applied to improve your mixes.

We'll kick things off with Black Salt Audio and its mighty fine suite of four plugins. BSA has only been developing software for three years, but already has a great rep for creating incredibly well-designed, straight-to-the-point plugins solving mix issues, adding a creative edge, or simply making your music sound better.

The Black Salt Audio CM bundle is a fantastic introduction to the range, four complete plugins in one, comprising ‘X’ versions of the company’s Low Control, Oxygen, Pocket Delay and TeloFi. The ‘X’ means cut down from the original plugin, but as we’ll see, they're all very usable, and can really benefit certain parts of your mix, or add subtle or not-so-subtle effects.

Low Control X and Oxygen X help tame low and high-end frequencies, while Pocket Delay is a very useful effect to add slap delay on vocals and more. TeloFi is excellent for giving you distorted vocals, beats and guitars, but can also subtly enhance your sound.

Read on in order to discover how to get the best from our first featured plugin!
