While your body doesn't require an elaborate 12-step routine, it does deserve some TLC. From products to tackle common skin concerns to ones to elevate your everyday shower, here's the 411.
DON'T IGNORE YOUR NECK
"Given its delicate skin and exposure to environmental stressors, your neck deserves as much care as your face," says Guwahati-based dermatologist Dr Debeshi Bhattacharjee, medical head and founder of Lueur Aesthetics. "To maintain a youthful and smooth appearance, incorporate a dedicated neck-care routine into your self-care regimen," she advises. She suggests starting with gentle cleansers and exfoliators to remove impurities and dead skin cells, followed by serums that are rich in hydrating and firming ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, peptides, retinol and niacinamide. If stepping out, always apply a sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 30 to protect against skin damage. If you're looking for more advanced medi-treatments, Dr Debeshi has recommendations: "One of the most popular is Forma, a non-invasive radiofrequency treatment that tightens and firms the skin, as well as HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound), which targets deeper layers to lift them. For those seeking collagen stimulation, Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy. Skin boosters provide deep hydration, while microneedling with the Dermapen 4 enhances skin texture and elasticity. Laser toning helps with pigmentation and overall tone."

We speak to the founders of four such fashion brands who have prioritised a slow approach to making clothes and have an overall ethical outlook. They care for environmental and social impact as much as - if not more than their profit margins, finds Ashwini Arun Kumar
