FITNESS FLOPS? NO MORE!

Gym membership? Done. Workout Clothes? Hanging in the closet. Ready to build an active lifestyle? Definitely. But wait, are you really prepared for the gym? Your workout is only as good as your pre-workout prep. Failing to have a strategy in place or not following a proper routine can cause issues that you do not want. Here are a few things you must keep in mind to get the most out of your workout.

DON’T EAT TOO MUCH

A significant factor in preworkout habits is nutrition. While you never want to go into a workout hungry, you also don’t want to eat too much. Eating too much or too soon before working out can cause cramps, indigestion, nausea, and acid reflux, in addition to generally decreasing performance. Get a snack an hour before your session with a good balance of carbs, fats, and protein – a good option is an apple with peanut butter.

DON’T GO ON AN EMPTY STOMACH
