Go Unplugged

I'd suggest implementing a 'no phone travel day' during your journeys. On each trip, I set aside a day to disconnect completely from my phone. No social media, no Google Maps, no digital updates - just a genuine connection with the world around me. This practice is a tribute to travel in its purest form, guided by curiosity rather than a screen. Engaging with locals for directions, walking into a random cafe, and fully embracing each moment without the fear of missing out, I find these unplugged days leave me with some of the most special memories while helping me discover some unique gems! So give yourself an unplugged day on your next trip and see where it takes you!

Have a Tech-Free Day this summer. Yup, that's right! Leave those gadgets behind and spend quality time with your loved ones. No emails, no social media, just good old-fashioned bonding. It might sound unusual, but, trust me, it works wonders! Imagine a day filled with real conversations, laughter, and making memories without any distractions. It's like hitting the refresh button for your relationships and mental health. Pick a day, unplug, and enjoy the simple joys of life this summer!

Go Hot!

In summer, go toward the heat. In June 2022, I experienced one of the hottest places on Earth. In Ethiopia's Danakil Depression, Dallol stands as a place of extremes, earning its nickname 'Hell on Earth' due to the prevailing scorching temperatures and unearthly landscape.
