AS HER CAREER CONTINUES TO BLOSSOM WITH FOUR NEW PROJECTS, ROSE BYRNE TALKS ABOUT KEEPING BUSY, DOMESTIC BLISS AND WHEN SHE'LL WED BOBBY CANNAVALE

Rose Byrne is not the type of person who likes to sit still. If her sons Rocco, 7, and Rafa, 5, whom she shares with her longtime partner, actor Bobby Cannavale, are at school and she’s not on-set, the actress is more likely to pass time puttering around the house than kicking up her feet for a binge-watch. “I’m a bit of a domestic animal. I like to do laundry or reorganize the toys and books,” says Byrne, who lives with her family in New York City. “I find that quite meditative. Then I’ll get really antsy, and I’m like, ‘When am I going back to work?’

This summer will bear the fruits of her penchant for productivity. In the span of three months the 43-yearold Australia native, whose breakout U.S. roles were as Glenn Close’s sparring partner on the 2007-2012 legal thriller Damages and as one of the title characters in the smash 2011 comedy Bridesmaids, will show her considerable range in four projects. First up: the raucously funny new comedy series Platonic (streaming now on Apple TV+). She’ll follow that with the horror-movie sequel Insidious: The Red Door (in theaters July 7), the third and final season of her dark dramedy Physical (on Apple TV+ Aug. 2) and the animated romp Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (in theaters Aug. 4).
