There are many things that bring Amy Poehler happiness: big hugs, amazing feats of athleticism, folks who publicly thank their mothers in speeches. Not on her list? Theme park attractions that leave riders' stomachs in knots. "I'm really not a roller-coaster person. Never have been," says the Emmy-winning comedy veteran on a Zoom interview from Disneyland in California. "That's a pass for me."
Poehler, 52, doesn't need artificial thrills these days. With two teenagers at home-she shares sons Archie, 15, and Abel, 13, with actor Will Arnett, 54, her ex-husband-she has plenty of adventure already. "I find it really exciting and fulfilling and difficult," she says of raising adolescents. "I heard a psychologist say you go from being the producer to a consultant in your kids' life.
