NEW DRAMA Men Up Friday 29 December, 9pm, BBC1
Known as the little blue pill, the impotence drug Viagra has revolutionised men's health around the world. But what may come as a surprise to many is that back in 1994, years before it came on the market, the drug underwent its first clinical trials at Swansea's Morriston Hospital.
Feature-length drama Men Up follows five fictionalised middle-aged men who are each struggling with erectile dysfunction due to diabetes and who bravely agree to take part in the trial, hoping it might put their lives and relationships back on track.
Game of Thrones and Wolfactor Iwan Rheon stars as family man Meurig Jenkins, who, at 41, has just been diagnosed with diabetes.
