Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder take a tour of Italy's art and architecture

The beautiful Italian cities of Venice, Florence and Rome are on the itinerary for Rob Rinder and Rylan Clark this week as the pair follow in the footsteps of 19th-century Romantic poet Lord Byron and other Grand Tourists who travelled to Europe as part of their education.

‘The Grand Tour was like the gap year for wealthy young men between the 17th to 19th century,’ explains Rinder. ‘The idea was to return home better informed, more complete and to have had this full cultural experience.’
