A Ghost Story for Christmas: Count Magnus Friday, 10pm, BBC2
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a classic ghost story adapted by Mark Gatiss, and this year’s offering looks certain to serve up some serious chills.
In Gatiss’ new version of MR James’ creepy 1904 tale Count Magnus, Jason Watkins plays travel writer Mr Wraxhall, who journeys to a house in Sweden owned by Froken de la Gardie (MyAnna Buring). There, Wraxhall uncovers a mystery about her ancient ancestor, Count Magnus, and becomes increasingly obsessed by his tomb. But will his curiosity be his undoing?
