Caring James Herriot (Nicholas Ralph) and his spirited wife, Helen (Rachel Shenton), were thrilled by the arrival of their first child, baby Jimmy, at Christmas, but now James is far away from their Yorkshire Dales home once more and serving at RAF Abingdon. And after undergoing bomber training, he and his crew mates are getting ready to embark on their first dangerous mission.
