NEW CRIME DRAMA
Granite Harbour
Fri, 8pm, BBC1 (box set, BBC iPlayer)

The first season of Granite Harbour put the city of Aberdeen on the TV crime-drama map - and as the show returns for another three-episode run this week, the port's seafaring links are at the heart of the mystery.

DC Davis Lindo (Romario Simpson) and DS Lara 'Bart' Bartlett (Hannah Donaldson) are investigating the murder of a local drug kingpin's fixer when they are brought on to the case of pregnant refugee Mariam Faraki (Afsaneh Dehrouyeh), who claims her other half was killed during the journey from Norway on a cargo ship.

However, the vessel's skipper, Captain Nielsen, portrayed by The Killing and Borgen star Søren Malling, is quick to shut down the police’s questions.
