NEW DRAMA
Stags
From Thu 15 Aug, Paramount+ (first two eps from 15 Aug, then weekly)
When a group of Brits fly off for a hedonistic stag do halfway across the world, they're looking forward to a wild week of partying. But their dream trip turns into a desperate battle for survival after they are thrown into a brutal South American prison.
Paramount+'s darkly comic six-part drama Stags stars Nico Mirallegro as groom-tobe Stu, who gathers together a disparate group of friends, including childhood pals, university mates, work colleagues and his fiancée's family.
However, the trip takes a terrifying turn when the gang are arrested at the airport on their way home after being caught trying to smuggle drugs. Sent to a notorious prison island run by two warring siblings, they realise they must pick a side carefully if they want to stay alive.
Created by Daniel Cullen, who's previously written for series such as Bad Sisters and Breeders, it's a series that promises twists, turns and plenty of black humour.
