As the second season of gothic fantasy drama Interview with the Vampire lands on BBC2 this week, we rejoin vampires Louis de Pointe du Lac and Claudia in a very appropriate location.
After joining forces to attack vampire creator and Louis’ former lover Lestat de Lioncourt, they have fled New Orleans and now find themselves in a bombed-out Romania as Nazis and Russians battle it out at the end of World War Two.
