The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live
Fri, 9pm, Sky Max & Sky Showcase (box set, Sky Box Sets/NOW)
Fans of post-apocalyptic zombie series The Walking Dead will finally find out what happened to former lawman Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) when the show’s new spin-off The Ones Who Live lands on Sky this week.
Set five years after Rick appeared to sacrifice himself by blowing up a bridge to keep a horde of walkers from attacking his community, the six-part series reveals how Rick was helicoptered out of the explosion by a shadowy military operation called the Civic Republic Military (CRM).
‘Because Rick went away on a bit of a cliffhanger, for years people have been saying to me, “Where has he gone? When is he coming back?”’ says Lincoln, 50. ‘So it sort of felt impolite not to finish a story that was left dangling.’
