Bride and DOOM?

SISTER BONIFACE MYSTERIES LAST ONE FRIDAY, 9PM, U&DRAMA DRAMA

There's great excitement for Sister Boniface (Lorna Watson) and her Cotswolds crime-solving cohorts as the eagerly anticipated wedding day of detective Felix Livingstone (Jerry Iwu) and his fiancée Victoria Braithwaite (Ayesha Griffiths) finally arrives this week.

Before the happy couple say 'I do', there is a cake to bake, flowers to arrange and a stag party to stage, not to mention welcoming the influx of friends and family from the bride and groom's native Bermuda to the village.

This being Great Slaughter, however, the nuptials are, of course, rudely interrupted when someone drops dead in the church aisle! TV Times caught up with Jerry for an exclusive interview to get clues as to whether it ended up being a case of 'happily ever after' or 'till death us do part...

This week’s story, Toast to the Newly Dead, is the finale to Season 3 of U&Drama’s 1960s- set Sister Boniface Mysteries. What can fans expect?

There are great costumes, great set design and a great script, and we’ll see a lot of Bermudian culture sprinkled through it, with wedding guests including Felix’s dad Jacob [played by Granite Harbour’s Patrick Robinson] and Victoria’s mother Morgana [Small Axe’s Joy Richardson] and best friend Lilly [rising star Tara Tijani]. Oh, and there’s a murder…

How is Felix feeling about getting hitched?

Trepidation! It’s intense because, on one level, he’s super-excited to marry Victoria, but, at the same time, he’s just terrified, to be honest!

What’s your take on his relationship with Victoria?

There’s genuine care and love, and it’s a very wholesome relationship with real support between the two of them. They have known each other for so long, but Victoria definitely wears the trousers!
