KELVIN and LIZ FLETCHER on living the dream on their beautiful farm

Having a FIELD DAY!

FLETCHERS' FAMILY FARM
NEW SUNDAY, 11.30AM, ITV1, & 8PM, ITVBE FACTUAL

They may only be three years into running their busy Peak District homestead, but Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Liz now can't imagine life without farming.

'It's hard work, but there are moments when you think, "This is a privilege," beams Kelvin, 40, who played Emmerdale fan favourite Andy Sugden from 1996 to 2016 before going on to win the 2019 series of BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing.

'Farming's forever changing, and you're just trying to make it work,' adds fellow actor Liz, 41. 'But we have so many beautiful days with the animals and the kids.' TV Times has joined the couple for an exclusive chat about the second outing of their ITV1 and ITVBe fly-on-the-barnwall show Fletchers' Family Farm.

The new 11-part run, which includes a Christmas special, follows Kelvin, Liz and their children - daughter Marnie, eight, son Milo, five, and two-year-old twin boys Mateusz and Maximus - as they face more peaks and troughs at their 18th-century abode and welcome some new arrivals to the fold.

Here, Kelvin and Liz tell us more...

So, what can we expect from the new series?

KELVIN We’re expanding and it feels like we’ve only just begun. Like every farmer, we’re learning and doing things we’ve never done before. So, this series is about celebrating our journey, British farming and nature, but it doesn’t shy away from the realities of how challenging and overwhelming it is for relatively inexperienced farmers. It’s an adventure, though!
