Our summer OF FUN!

LIVE: SUMMER ON THE FARM  MONDAY-FRIDAY, 8PM, CHANNEL 5 FACTUAL

Summer is well and truly under way, which means life for all creatures great and small residing at Cannon Hall Farm is about to get a lot more hectic!

As cameras return to the 126acre holding in South Yorkshire to capture more stories for this year’s series of Channel 5’s Live: Summer on the Farm, Helen Skelton is back at the helm with a new recruit, Martin HughesGames, who’s standing in for fan favourite Jules Hudson.

Over ve consecutive nights, along with Cannon Hall’s farming brothers Dave and Rob Nicholson, Helen and Martin will highlight the challenges and rewards that summer brings for rural communities.

But before that, on a sweltering June day, former Springwatch host Martin was thrilled to join Helen and her adorable dog, Spider-Man, in Helen’s garden for an exclusive photo shoot and interview with TV Times.

Here, Helen, 38, and Martin, 66, tell us what’s in store this season…

It looks like you’re going to have fun working together!

HELEN Everyone will make Martin welcome. He’ll love it. Summer on the Farm’s all about being part of one big family.

MARTIN I hope that I don’t end up like the miserable uncle! Helen’s extraordinary and it’s an honour working with her. She imbues the show with energy and is supportive. I’m nervous and excited. I haven’t done live telly for a long time. But I’m looking forward to it. I love the show because it’s so eclectic, and good farmers are amazing guardians of the countryside and should be celebrated.
