THE KILLING KIND
NEW FROM THU 7 SEPT, PARAMOUNT+ THRILLER
They say you should never mix business with pleasure, and it’s a lesson a high-flying lawyer learns the hard way in twisty new thriller The Killing Kind.
A rising star at her London chambers, defence barrister Ingrid Lewis (Everything I Know about Love’s Emma Appleton) is slowly getting her life back on track in the wake of a broken engagement, a fatal house fire and an intense relationship with client-turned-stalker John Webster (The Fall’s Colin Morgan).
When charismatic businessman John contacts Ingrid out of the blue to warn her that her life is in danger, her instinct is to ignore him after everything he’s put her through. Then her mentor is killed in a supposed road-traffic accident, and Ingrid starts to suspect foul play, but she’s unsure who she can trust, and whether John is playing hero or villain.
Based on Jane Casey’s hit 2021 novel, the six-parter launches on Paramount+ this week.
Here, we cross-examine Colin, 37, and Emma, 31, to get their take on the story…
