David was horrified when Shona's son Clayton resurfaced recently.

Desperate to keep the killer away from his family, he deleted all correspondence and told jailed Clayton that he was dead to his mum.

When Clayton went on to try to take his own life, Shona was visited by the police. Yet David continued to lie to her and blamed his wife's brain injury for 'missing' her son's emails.
