Porn star Stormy Daniels, the woman at the centre of the scandal that led to Donald Trump's historic arrest, is being hailed as a true American hero

PEOPLE often underP estimate her. It could be her bleached blonde hair, or her triple-D breasts (which she calls Thunder and Lightning), but it's probably her porn star status that prompts people to dismiss Stormy Daniels as a brainless bimbo.

But it turns out there's much more to the adult entertainer than meets the eye - as Donald Trump is fast discovering.

When he had sex with her in a Nevada hotel room in 2006, the future American president couldn't have dreamt how much trouble shed eventually cause him.

And the chickens are finally coming home to roost. It's because of her that Trump (76) recently became the first US president in history to face criminal charges.

And now, instead of being pigeonholed as a seedy porn star, Stormy is being hailed as "a true American hero" and "one of the most powerful people in US politics".

The former president looked glum as he arrived at the Manhattan Criminal Court in New York to be charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records.

Stormy says it's a vindication. Trump has for years claimed she was a liar, denying ever sleeping with her and paying her hush money just a week before the 2016 election.

Now prosecutors claim to have found evidence that Trump "orchestrated a scheme to buy negative information” from Stormy and others in a bid to stop them from harming his electoral prospects, and then used creative bookkeeping to cover it up.

Stormy admits it’s satisfying to watch Trump squirm, but says it’s bittersweet because he’s done many things – such as inciting the Capitol riots in 2021 after losing the presidential election – and gotten off scot-free.
