A LOT has happened in the 20 years since she claimed she had a torrid tryst with one of the hottest guys ever to grace a football field. She went on reality shows, married a doctor, had two sons, got into yoga and is living a happy life in Norway. The drama of the alleged affair was long a thing of the past, something she had hoped would be buried forever.
But it took a documentary to thrust Rebecca Loos into the spotlight again – and she isn’t happy.
Rebecca initially maintained her silence after the four-part Netflix series Beckham was aired, but the 46-year-old has spoken out now and lashed out at David, accusing him of making her out to be the villain.
“He can say what he likes, of course, and I understand he has an image to preserve, but he’s portraying himself as the victim and he’s making me look like a liar, like I’ve made up these stories,” she told the Daily Mail newspaper.
“He’s indirectly suggesting I’m the one who made Victoria suffer.”
The alleged affair happened after Becks was transferred to Spanish club Real Madrid in July 2003 and hired Rebecca, a former Dutch model, as his personal assistant when she was working with a sports agency.
While Posh remained in the UK with their young sons Brooklyn and Romeo, David was largely left to his own devices.
He started spending more time with his attractive PA and she claimed things started with flirting and touching and progressed to meet-ups at his hotel. Pictures of the pair together were splashed across the pages of news- papers and rumours were rife that the Beckham marriage was in trouble.
