Cosmo India speaks to four of the coolest sneakerheads about their collection, favourite pieces and dream sneakers.

A sneaker collector from 2010, Varun mentions scouting stores for discounted pairs. In fact, such was his quest that he’d go to the storages of these stores to check if they’d have collectables there. His penchant for sneakers—he now owns more than 800 sneakers—is something he has had since a young age. “I made money by playing small tournaments in school...I would save up to buy sneakers.” The 28-year-old actor has dedicated one room solely to his sneakers. While his insatiable thirst for collecting sneakers is a big part of who he is, his mother is not a fan of his obsession. “She’s pretty fed up with my collection!” Varun’s favourite pair is the Off White X Air Jordan 1 High UNC Sneakers. “But if you were to go back in time and ask the Varun who just wanted his first pair of Jordans, he would say the Jordan Super Fly Supernovas are his dream kicks. I saw them kept in a store’s storage, and fell in love with them. Also, I saw Blake Griffin wear a pair at the Dunk Contest, and I had to own the pair!” he adds. While it was hard for Varun to pick his dream kicks, he narrowed it down to two—Jordan 1 Dior and the Colette Air Jordan 1 Sneakers.
