Mikimoto is undoubtedly one of the most famous brands when it comes to pearls. Its founder, Kokichi Mikimoto, created the world’s first cultured pearl back in 1893 and the brand has since established itself as the go-to when it comes to pearl jewellery. The Japanese house has become synonymous with classy elegance because of its creations — multi-strand pearl necklaces anchored by flower brooches picked out in diamonds, and simple pearl stud earrings embellished with a single diamond.
