N°1 de Chanel is the brand's popular beauty range that's meant to slow down the effects of ageing on the skin by addressing them at an early age a pre-emptive approach, if you will. To bolster the skin's vitality as well as ability to repair and renew itself, and in turn help counter senescence the biological process of ageing - every product in the range is formulated with red camellia.
Nicknamed "The Czar", it's a variety of the camellia japonica that Chanel's scientists have found to have the greatest revitalising effect on the skin after researching more than 2,000 types of camellias. The N°1 de Chanel Revitalising Eye Serum is the collection's first eye serum and it, too, is anchored by this powerful ingredient.
Packed with red camellia extract, the silky formula is said to increase skin vitality mechanisms by 63 per cent as well as protect the skin from oxidative stress. The addition of red camellia oil helps to strengthen the skin barrier while camellia yeast - also commonly found in Chanel's beauty products hydrates and cares for the delicate skin around the eyes. Other key ingredients include red coffee berries, peptides and a new 3D complex composed of the active ingredients escin, and extracts from yeast and the acmella oleracea plant to help improve the look of the aforementioned signs of fatigue.
