While the “About” pages on websites and posts on social media can help tell the story of a brand, I know there is so much more to dive into about the ups and downs of starting and running a fashion business.

To dig a little deeper into the story behind the brand and learn more about what it’s like to create and build an ethical, fashion company, I interviewed Jasleen Kaur. She’s the brains behind ‘Baana’, which has to be one of the chicest and most fashionable designers wear companies where you get the best designs from all over the world.

How did your company’s journey as a pre-eminent brand begin? What was the underlying bedrock idea behind incorporating the company?

Baana was never a company for me Baana is conceptualised as part of my emotional journey & love for my cultural roots of Punjab. The idea was to bring the best of modern Pakistani designs with the work (karigari) & best quality fabric to revive our ethnic culture to the present generation. Idea was to create connect & relive our cultural roots in these modern times with the world’s finest designers whose work blends of ultra-modern designs with the ethnic touch of our culture.

What are the key aspects that demonstrate the uniqueness of the company?
