MUSIC
WHO: HANUMANKIND, Rapper and Musician
WHY: 4,36,53,519.75. That's the number of hours 'Big Dawgs' by Hanumankind was streamed on Spotify. And that's just one music streaming platform. The earworm became the soundtrack to 2024, and not just because of its virality, but also thanks to the death-defying video shot inside a 'Well of Death' in India. And just like that, a star was born. Hanumankind's meteoric rise to stardom is going to turn into a lesson in the history books for years to come. From performing alongside A$AP Rocky to being announced on the lineup at Coachella, Hanumankind continues to make his presence felt in the global music industry.
GOING BIG IN 2025: “I feel good, knowing that the music is appreciated around the world, and it just goes to show how music can bring everybody together somehow, some way, you know? I guess you'll have to see what I get up to, but remember, it's HMK on the way, baby.”
WHO: YASHRAJ,
Rapper and Musician
WHY: Take the golden days of Bollywood, a dash of percussion, explosive lyrics, and a touch of romanticism, and you have yourself a bonafide rapper in Yashraj. All of 24 years, the rapper has quickly found his footing in the music industry as an artist to be reckoned with. 2024 saw him release his hit EP 'Meri Jaan Pehle Naach' and end the year with a bang with a blazing new single titled 'Sanatan', an ode to his home city of Mumbai. It's safe to say that this Bombay boy is all heart.
GOING BIG IN 2025: “There's a couple of EPs and tons of collabs in the pipeline, hopefully, with people that I love listening to. Just getting people I admire to be a part of my sound is always an exciting process, which makes 2025 a year that I'm looking forward to.”
