It's a dream come true when Cartier bestows a custom-New Special Order (NSO)-timepiece to any collector who appreciates the legacy of the Maison. For Alvin Chong, he got to experience that dream four times. He received his first NSO watch, a platinum Tank Cintree, in 2021 despite being a relatively new client at that time. "It was not an easy thing to be offered but it shows how much Cartier valued my taste and passion," said the 28-year-old finance professional. Every detail of an NSO watch from the dial to the case is customisable and as a history buff, Chong deliberately chose a ruby crown and matching red numerals for his first.
