Combining high watchmaking expertise with the finest of all stones, Gucci releases five novelties which include tourbillons, moonphase movements and a new perpetual calendar. Firstly, the Dancing Hours Flying Tourbillon, GGC.1976.DS, inspires four new kaleidoscopic designs for the G-Timeless Planetarium. Dominated by the Orion Nebula NGC 197 tourbillon, two lunar-themed pieces are introduced in 2023: one with 12 Ethiopian opals set on a translucent blue background, and the other, a surreal pastel melange of topaz, peridot, amethyst and Ethiopian opals. Each precious stone spins independently for nine seconds and completes one clockwise cycle around the dial in 90 seconds when actuated by the crown. In addition, there’s a reference that features rubies, fire opals, pink tourmaline and mandarin garnet as well as a star-themed model with four different coloured diamonds.
