STOPWATCHES DISTILLED TO THEIR QUINTESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The chronograph measures elapsed time, and this is exemplified by the 1815 Chronograph. Column-wheel control, flyback function and peripheral pulsometer scale — these characteristics define an impeccable stopwatch. The 1815 Rattrapante specialises in short-time measurements. The eponymous complication utilises two superimposed centre hands, one for the chronograph and the other for the split-seconds, with the latter stopping independently of and resynchronising with the running chrono hand to measure lap times indefinitely. The 1815 is seen here in pink gold, while the 1858 Rattrapante is in platinum.
