Famously known to be the well-loved flower of Christian Dior (and the late Queen Elizabeth II), the Lily of the Valley is a symbol of happiness and emblematic of rebirth, purity and new beginnings. Christian Dior kept it close — from adorning his lapels to his personal stationery. Perhaps with the flower’s representation of rebirth in mind, Kim Jones chose to reflect on Christian Dior’s legacy for the Dior Men Summer ‘23 collection. As a way of moving forward by looking back, Jones took inspiration from the French Maison’s heritage, signature house codes and the late Dior’s passion for nature (and love of florals) to deliver the perfect amalgamation of British style with Parisian couture and savoir-faire.
