1 BATH RENAISSANCE
Actor Emma Watson once stated that the secret to her calming demeanor was a daily bath. "I have a bath every single day of my life. And if I can have two or three - amazing," she said. "Nothing terrible is going to happen in the bath." Turns out she was ahead of the trend. Sure, a shower is more convenient, but research tells us that a bath simply hits different. "Warm baths promote relaxation by raising your core body temperature and lowering blood pressure," says Dr Jeffrey Gladd, an integrative medicine specialist in the US. Since not everyone has a tub, the trend has seen thermal baths and bathhouses popping up around the world. So what are you waiting for? Jump in.
2 COSY CARDIO
Great news! The hottest workout trend of the year (with over 16 million views on TikTok) is one you can do in your pyjamas. Ideal for those who dread traditional cardio and hauling it the gym, "cosy cardio" is a movement coined by American TikToker Hope Zuckerbrow that sees exercise romanticised and tailored to your fave things at a comfortable, low-impact pace. Zuckerbrow's videos show her doing things like making a protein coffee drink, lighting candles, putting on movies and wearing fluffy socks while strolling on her walking pad in her living room for a half-hour before starting her day. The trend is all about slow living and prioritising self-care. Think: a leisurely bike ride, or a restorative yoga flow routine set to your favourite tunes.
